Valentin Julius Jahn

Valentin currently works at the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre as Lead Research Analyst and TPI CA100+ Project Lead. TPI is an investor-backed initiative at the Grantham Research Institute that provides investors with data on the carbon performance and climate governance of the world’s largest listed companies. Valentin carries out research and analysis on carbon intensive industry sectors and works on industry carbon assessment methodologies.
Background
Valentin holds a BA in Philosophy and Economics from Bayreuth University and an MSc in Climate Change, Management and Finance from Imperial College. Previously he interned at an Investment Boutique in Lima, Peru as an M&A analyst and as a research assistant at health consultancy “evaplan am Universitaetsklinikum Heidelberg” where he worked on development projects in the public health sector. Valentin was also able to gain business experience from being a co-founder of a sustainable fashion start-up.
