About

Cristóbal works as a Policy and Data Analyst at the Transition Pathway Initiative Centre contributing to carbon performance assessments and sectoral methodology development. He works mainly in the Cement and Steel sectors.

Background

Before joining TPI, Cristóbal worked as a Consultant at the UN-Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) on the Economic Development and International Trade and Integration Divisions mostly doing applied research. He has worked on projects related to: Development Finance, Environmentally Extended Input-Output Tables and transition towards Electromobility in Latin American countries. He has also worked as a Consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank on a project that aimed to consolidate quantitative and qualitative data on green hydrogen initiatives in Latin American and Caribbean countries. The goal was to centralize information about good policies and practices on green hydrogen development.

Cristóbal graduated with Distinction from the MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change programme at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also holds a Professional Degree (with distinction) from the University of Chile in Business and Economics.
