Giorgia Monsignori
Giorgia is an Analyst (Policy Officer) working at the Transition Pathway Initiative Centre. She works within the ASCOR team (Assessing Sovereign and Climate Opportunities and Risks) and contributes research to Climate Policy on Fossil Fuels, Sectoral Transitions, and Just Transition.
Background
Before joining the Institute Giorgia worked in the Chamber of Commerce in Italy on Blue Economy projects. Giorgia has also completed an internship in the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe in Geneva where she worked on Environmental Performance Reviews; the Transport, Health, and Environment Pan-European Programme; Assessment of Environmental Damage in Ukraine; and the Convention on Industrial Accidents.
Giorgia holds a Master’s in International Security from the University of Groningen with a specialization on Energy security, Environmental Security, and Natural Resources. She completed her Master thesis research on energy transition policy and impact in petrostates. Previously she completed a Bachelor’s with first class honours in Political Science and International Relations.
