Ira Poensgen
Ira is a Policy Fellow at the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx). Her research interest lies in understanding how monetary & financial policy can ensure that private investment flows support the transition to net zero and climate resilience. She has a particular focus on private sector transition plans and planning.
Background
Prior to joining the Institute, Ira was the Deputy Group Policy Lead at the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group and the Deputy Head of Policy at the Centre for Greening Finance and Investment (CGFI). In that capacity, she was a member of the Transition Plan Taskforce Secretariat, where she acted as Technical Lead and Interim Team Lead, working with stakeholders across the financial sector, real economy and regulators to develop the TPT Disclosure Framework & accompanying guidance for private sector transition plans.
Ira holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge, and MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a BSc in International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business School (CBS).
