RES webinar series: A strong and sustainable recovery from COVID-19
The Royal Economic Society hosted a series of webinars in May 2020 chaired by Professor Lord Nicholas Stern to examine the challenge of building a strong, inclusive, sustainable and resilient recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. The webinars focused on strategy, investment, policies and finance for such a recovery. The speakers gave careful attention to the transition from the rescue phase – where the priority for public policy has been to respond to the public health emergency, to protect the most vulnerable, and to maintain capacity in the economy – to recovery.
