Martina Podesta

Martina is a Policy Officer at the Grantham Research Institute at LSE working on adaptation policy and governance. She contributes to LSE’s engagement with the Zurich Climate Resilience Alliance (2025–2027), a global initiative funded by the Z Zurich Foundation. The Alliance brings together public, private, and civil society actors to support locally led solutions to climate hazards in over 15 countries.
Background
Prior to joining the Grantham Research Institute, Martina served as a Junior Policy Analyst at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). In this role, she advised governments on designing regulatory reforms and strategies to promote sustainable and inclusive economic development. Her professional experience also spans academia, the NGO sector, and civic engagement, supported by a background in economics and business administration.
