Anisa Indah Pratiwi is a Policy Analyst at Just Transition Finance Lab focusing on emerging markets.

Background

Prior to joining the Institute Anisa had over 7 years of experience in the public policy sector. She has worked with UNDP Indonesia, where she coordinated the establishment of Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) and aided the Ministry of National Development Planning during the Indonesia G20 Presidency. Her portfolio covers Sustainable Finance, Green Economy, and Impact Measurement and Management. Anisa holds a Bachelor Degree in International Relations from Universitas Padjadjaran and a Master’s in Public Policy from University College London.

This commentary from the Just Transition Finance Lab investigates which countries are most vulnerable to energy shocks, illustrating the impacts on a fossil fuel-dependent nation — Pakistan, and a fossil fuel exporter — Indonesia. The authors show that reducing fossil fuel exposure and increasing renewable sources of energy in an inclusive manner, i.e. through a just transition, can provide durable protection against future energy shocks.
