Meet the team
- Professor Susana Mourato - Susana Mourato, an environmental economist, is LSE's Vice President and Pro Vice Chancellor (Research).
- Professor Lord Nicholas Stern - Nicholas Stern is IG Patel Professor of Economics and Government and Chair of both the Grantham Research Institute and the Global School of Sustainability.
- Professor Jonathan Pershing - Dean of the Global School of Sustainability, and Professor in Practice
- Professor Charles Stafford - Executive Director of the Global School of Sustainability

Our management committee is responsible for the overall direction of GSoS and its activities, in accordance with its objectives and with guidance from the Strategy Board.
The committee consists of the GSoS Leadership Group joined by the co-leads for each GSoS theme, Global Impact Group leadership, and the Directors of the three Research Centres that report into the Global School of Sustainability - the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment (GRI), the TPI Global Climate Transition Centre (TPI Centre), and the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx).

- Lei Zhang - Lei Zhang is Founder and CEO of Envision, one of the world's leading renewable energy companies, and Co-chair of the GSoS Strategy Board.
- Professor Susana Mourato - Susana Mourato, an environmental economist, is LSE's Vice President and Pro Vice Chancellor (Research).
- Professor Jonathan Pershing - Jonathan Pershing is the Dean of the Global School of Sustainability and Professor in Practice.
- Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala - Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the Director General of the World Trade Organization, having served in a number of other public roles, including two terms as Finance Minister for Nigeria.
- Professor Amartya Sen - Amartya Sen is an economist and philosopher who was awarded the Nobel Memorial Prize for Economic Sciences for his contributions to welfare economics.
- Lord Adair Turner - Adair Turner has served in a number of prominent public roles in the UK, including as Chair of the Financial Services Authority and of the Committee on Climate Change.
The Global Impact Group (GIG) informs and give impetus to the global agenda on sustainable growth and development at a time of difficult geopolitics and deepening climate crisis.
