Franziska Funke is an LSE Fellow in the Social Sciences of Sustainability at the Global School of Sustainability.
Franziska's research focuses on climate policy, inequality, and the behavioural political economy of just transitions. She studies the public support for environmental policies in consumer-facing sectors, alongside their distributional effects.
She is also keenly interested in the normative implications of behavioural economics for the climate transition.
Prior to joining LSE, she was an Associate Researcher at the Technical University Berlin and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). She holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from Münster University, Germany, an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from LSE, and a PhD in Economics from the Technical University Berlin.
