About
About
Kate Nicole's research program is aimed at sustainability, and in particular, at understanding and reimagining the human-nature relationship in a modern world characterized by environmental destruction. Her approach combines resources from environmental philosophy, the sciences, community-engaged research, and a background in the performing arts, in order to creatively engage with issues in conservation, climate change, and animal ethics. These ideas have been put into practice in her policy and community-oriented work with institutions including the University of Cincinnati’s Center for Public Engagement with Science and the United Nations, and in places from the Galápagos Islands to Bwindi, Uganda.
