About
Peter is an LSE Fellow in the Social Sciences of Sustainability at the Global School of Sustainability, where his research focuses on the distributional impacts of climate policy, employment transitions, and the political economy of public transit.
Current projects examine the role of employment exposure in US Congressional voting on climate policy, public blame attribution and policy preferences following factory closures, and the politics of oil and gas licensing in the UK and Norway. He draws on observational data, survey experiments, and computational text analysis in his research.
He contributes to teaching on Public Policy at LSE, and is Head Tutor on Politics and Policy of Climate Change and Sustainability, a course he helped design.
Previously, he worked at the OECD’s Directorate for Employment, Labour and Social Affairs, and at the European Commission’s DG Competition.
