Dr Shantanu Singh is the Global Impact Group (GIG) Senior Policy Fellow at the Global School of Sustainability and the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and Environment, leading work to direct and amplify the impact of LSE research on sustainability in global policy. He also supports the work on policies for India’s sustainable growth.

An applied microeconomist by training, Shantanu has over a decade of engagement with interdisciplinary research on sustainability, innovation, finance, entrepreneurship, growth, and development. Shantanu has worked on research initiatives within the private sector, public and international organisations and financial institutions globally, including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Reserve Bank of India.

Shantanu holds a B.Eng. from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, an MSc in Economics from the LSE, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick.
