MP and Party
Position on Net Zero / Climate Change
  • MP commitment

Does not support net zero by 2050. *

“Business and the OBR are clear. Labour’s budget will reduce growth, increase inflation, destroy jobs and reduce wages. Their plans to increase regulation and impose very rapid net-zero policies will make all this even worse. They should change course. But of course they won’t.”

“The environment is very important, but the dash for net zero by 2030 is insane. Fairness means equal opportunity, getting the state off people's backs, but it also means being fair to people who work hard and do the right thing by not overtaxing them and not over-regulating them.”
