MP and Party
Position on Net Zero / Climate Change
  • MP commitment

Committed to net zero by 2050 and to meeting UK’s international commitments on emission reduction for 2030 and 2035. Committed to action on climate change. *

“… 68% of us understand that the climate is changing as a result of human activity. … We can’t stop climate change through individual reductions in emissions. We need the public and private sectors to work together and lead the charge. Though we’re worlds apart, we have to reach every single country attending COP 30 with that message – and even, if not especially, the notable absentees.”
“Investing in rail goes beyond the economic benefits, despite their substantial nature. It is also about addressing the climate crisis … shifting journeys from road to rail can play a crucial role in the Government meeting their climate targets.”
