MP and Party
Position on Net Zero / Climate Change
  • MP commitment

Committed to net zero by 2050 and to meeting UK’s international commitments on emission reduction for 2030 and 2035. Committed to action on climate change. *

“I believe we need urgent action to tackle climate change. Without an immediate and rapid increase in global action, we will miss the chance to limit global warming and protect the planet for future generations. … the net zero transition offers the economic opportunity of our times, enabling us to support good jobs, drive investment in all parts of the country and protect households from the price spikes of international fossil fuel markets. … I know this is just the beginning and I look forward to supporting further action that meets the scale of the climate emergency and speeds up the transition to net zero.”
