Chipping Barnet
MP and Party
Position on Net Zero / Climate Change
-
MP commitment
Committed to net zero by 2050 and supports action on climate change. *
"The net zero transition is arguably *the* political and economic challenge of our times. Shame on the new PM for deprioritising it, demoting the minister in charge and bunking COP."

X“I can understand people's concern about new airports but we are committed to getting to net zero by 2050, and the two things don't have to be in total conflict. We can definitely do both. ... And on climate change, we are sprinting as fast as possible to clean power which is a big part why we have to make these planning changes. If we leave the current system unchanged we can be sure we won't get enough clean power built.”
