London Climate Action Week 2026

20-28 June 2026
Now in its eighth year, London Climate Action Week (LCAW) is an annual event which brings together global leaders, businesses, policymakers and civil society leaders in London to accelerate climate action. LCAW is the largest independent climate gathering in Europe and features several hundred in person and online events.
The Grantham Research Institute is hosting, co-hosting and taking part in a range of activities across the week. This page provides details of some of these events and will be regularly updated in the lead up to the week.

Building the CDR market of tomorrow
This event will bring together leading stakeholders from across the Carbon Dioxide Removal market to explore where markets, policy, and standards are heading, and what needs to happen to accelerate responsible deployment.
Extreme Heat: Improving governance and strengthening action around the world
24 June 2026, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm
This event will open with the announcement of the inaugural Adeline Stuart-Watt Award winner and will be followed by a session focused on improving extreme heat governance and action around the world.
Global Trends in Climate Litigation 2026 Snapshot Report Launch
25 June 2026, 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
This event marks the launch of the Institute’s Global Trends in Climate Change Litigation 2026 Snapshot report, an annual report now in its eighth year. The report presents an overview of the expansion, complexity, and maturity in the global field of climate litigation.
