This event marked the virtual launch of the Just Finance India report written by Prasad Modak (EMC), Nick Robins (LSE) and Suranjali Tandon (NIPFP) in collaboration with British International Investment (BII). Following COP27 in 2022, the report builds on the growing recognition in India and internationally of the importance of an inclusive approach to delivering the goal of a net-zero economy.

The report focuses on how the financial system can help deliver a just transition and outlines strategic actions as well as immediate priority next steps. The new report provides detailed case studies of financial action and follows the earlier ‘Just Transition Finance Roadmap for India’ published in 2021.
