Five Times Faster: rethinking the science, economics, and diplomacy of climate change
A leading expert on climate policy, Simon Sharpe, will discuss his new book, ‘Five Times Faster’, with Professor Elizabeth Robinson, the Director of the Grantham Research institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
The book, which is due to be published on 6 April, argues that in our fight to avoid dangerous climate change, science is pulling its punches, diplomacy is picking the wrong battles, and economics has been fighting for the other side. It lays how we should rethink our strategies and reorganise our efforts so that we can act quickly enough to stay safe.
Advance copies of the book will be available for sale at the event, and it will be followed by a book-signing with the author.
