The insurance sector today is dynamically adapting to evolving risks and new challenges. Climate change, technological innovation, and evolving governance models are reshaping how risks are understood, financed, and transferred. This issue of The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance – Issues and Practice brings together contributions that address these challenges across risk modelling, catastrophe management, and strategic responses to climate change. Collectively, these articles highlight both the advances in forecasting and data-driven methods, as well as the institutional and supervisory innovations and solutions required to sustain insurance in a rapidly changing environment.
