Philosophical Transactions of The Royal Society A has published a themed issue on ‘Advances in risk assessment for climate change adaptation policy’. This was compiled and edited by W Neil Adger, Iain Brown and Swenja Surminski. The themed issue investigates the current practice and frontiers of climate change risk assessment, with specific emphasis on the development of adaptation policy that aims to manage those risks. It follows the experiences with the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment processes (UKCCRA1 and UKCCRA2), considers evidence from abroad, and identifies research needs for UK CCRA3 and national-scale assessments elsewhere.

The themed issue is available online here.
