The scarcity and criticality of minerals (OECD CIRCLE project)

Several major long-term trends shape the potential for economic growth around the world. Environmental degradation and the impacts of climate change are among these. The OECD’s CIRCLE project aims to assess the feedbacks from a range of environmental challenges on economic growth. LSE is contributing a project to CIRCLE, which is analysing the role played by minerals in economic growth. The project investigates minerals scarcity and what would be the consequences of supply disruptions, long-lasting high prices and supply disruptions.
