Natural capital accounting and sustainability

This research contributes to the on-going ‘Beyond GDP’ debate focusing in particular on frameworks and metrics for better accounting for natural capital, as well as the wealth of nations more generally. This includes assessments of how resource abundant countries should appraise the sustainability of their development paths. Research is also being undertaken on ecosystem accounting and valuing ecosystem services in natural capital accounts.
