Yoselin Oropeza Abregú

Yoselin is a Research Officer in the Earth Capital Nexus initiative at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her work focuses on assessing climate- and nature-related risks and impacts to support decision-making in finance and policy, including work on sustainable value chains and nature-positive opportunities for businesses.
Background
Her research and practice combine impact and risk assessment with qualitative and quantitative methods. She has worked with businesses, international organisations, financial institutions, and government agencies, including UNDP, the Oxford Sustainable Finance Group, and national environmental trust funds, to develop tools, frameworks, and evaluations aligned with organisations’ theories of change and international sustainability standards.
Yoselin also has experience engaging with Indigenous peoples, local communities, and ministries across Latin America on forestry, agriculture, and wetland conservation projects. She holds a BSc in Biology (Ecology) from the National Agrarian University in Peru and an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.
