About

Nina is an independent advisor on climate and nature-related financial risks and sustainable finance, building on her work as a financial regulator and finance practitioner. Nina was the inaugural Chief Climate Risk Officer at the U.S. federal banking regulator the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency till March 2025. She also stood up the climate and sustainability program at the New York State banking and insurance regulator where she issued the U.S.’s first guidance on climate-related financial risk management for banks and insurers. She is a Senior Visiting Fellow at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, which she joined in 2025. Nina holds a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
