Mengwei Sha

Mengwei is a Policy Analyst at the Centre for Economic Transition Expertise (CETEx), where she focuses on green economic transitions in emerging markets and developing economies, with a particular emphasis on Asia. She also supports CETEx’s broader international engagement efforts.
Background
Prior to joining CETEx, Mengwei worked at the Institute of Finance and Sustainability in China, where she led research projects, developed policy recommendations, and supported international collaboration on sustainable finance. During the same period, she was seconded to the UNDP Financial Centres for Sustainability, coordinating its Asia network and activities. She also gained experience in development programmes through her work at the FCDO British Embassy in China.
Mengwei holds a BA in Journalism and two MSc degrees from University College London—one in International Relations of the Americas and the other in Economics and Policy of Energy and the Environment.
