About

Marta started her PhD in Environmental Economics at the LSE in 2015. Her research focuses on the identification of the economic and non-economic drivers of low-carbon technology diffusion, at the domestic level.

Background

Marta is an Alumna of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, and holds a Bachelor’s and a two-year Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Pisa, Italy. Additionally, she studied for one year at the University of Durham, UK.

Prior to joining LSE and the Grantham Research Institute, she worked in the Energy, Environment and Resource department at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, in London, and at the OECD Development Centre, in Paris.

  • Energy economics and energy technology diffusion;
  • Economics of environment and development;
  • Environmental and resource economics;
  • Experimental and behavioural economics.
