About

Jing’s doctoral research interrogates the complex pathways through which international capacity-building initiatives, aimed at enhancing climate adaptation and water governance, influence organizational culture and foster sustained behavioral change within public sector institutions in African countries and Global South contexts.

Background

Jing is a PhD candidate supervised by Professor Declan Conway and Dr Kate Gannon. Jing holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health Sciences from NYU and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering. Prior to her doctoral studies, Jing has 7 years of professional experience, working first with the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment on environmental and social policies, and subsequently with UNESCO on science policies and capacity building for emerging sciences.
