Fernanda Gimenes
Fernanda’s research seeks to investigate the roles governments play in the environmental transition related to climate finance. Fernanda is particularly interested in discussing the factors that shape emerging market governments’ behaviour in the field of climate finance. She began her PhD in 2018.
Background
Fernanda holds an MSc degree in Environment & Development from LSE, where she was awarded the E&D Dissertation Prize for work on drivers of support for corporate social responsibility. She also holds an MSc degree in Sustainable Development and a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. Fernanda currently supports the United Nations Environment Programme’s work on ecolabelling. Prior to this, she worked at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in Brazil conducting research and managing projects on sustainable finance, climate change and ecosystem services.
