Carmen Marchiori

Carmen’s recent work investigates the aspect of fairness in bargaining, the role of inequality in the collective management of natural resources, the effectiveness of water rights buy-back policies, and issues concerning the strategic formation of international environmental agreements. She also holds the following positions:
- Lecturer in Environmental Policy and Economics at the Department of Geography and Environment at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE);
- External collaborator for the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM).
Background
Previously, Carmen was an Alcoa fellow at the LSE Centre for Environmental Policy and Governance (2007-8) and a visiting research scholar at the University of California, Berkeley (2006-7). She also worked as an external consultant for the World Bank (2004-5). Carmen holds a BSc in Economics (Universitá Ca’ Foscari, Venice, Italy), an MSc in Economics (UCL) and a PhD in Environmental Economics (LSE).
