Joseph will discuss Industrial Decarbonisation: A UK Perspective
Abstract:
The UK has set ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This presentation will provide an overview of the policy commitments on Carbon Capture and Storage as well as Hydrogen production and utilisation. It will consider the role of the UK ‘industrial clusters’, the deployment projects, cluster plans and the emerging UK industrial decarbonisation research and innovation agenda. The presentation will then move to unpack some of these issues through and examination of the HyNet Track 1 CCUS and Hydrogen Cluster and the emerging Net Zero North West Cluster Plan before briefly considering some of the emerging global propositions.
