By working alongside our colleges and training providers, we can build a workforce capable of delivering this vision. And by engaging with our existing industries and attracting external investment, we can place Hull and East Yorkshire firmly on the map for green growth. This is about being bold and brave—qualities I strongly represent. That means being willing to try new approaches. The UK is already exploring small-scale nuclear reactors. Nuclear power has been shown to be green, safe, and sustainable, and I am fully committed to bringing it to our region. As the home of the Energy Estuary, we cannot ignore our current environmental impact.
