Joana Setzer appointed Associate Member of Cornerstone Barristers

We are delighted to announce that Joana Setzer has become a new Associate Member of Cornerstone Barristers. Her appointment will strengthen the chambers’ expertise in climate law, environmental governance and the growing field of climate litigation.
Joana Setzer is an Associate Professorial Research Fellow of the Institute. Her work focuses on climate litigation and environmental governance, and she leads the Institute’s Climate Change Laws of the World project, the most comprehensive global resource on climate policy and legislation.
With more than two decades of experience in environmental and climate law, Dr Setzer’s research explores the role of courts and legal frameworks in driving climate action. She is widely recognised internationally for her work on global trends in climate litigation and regularly advises governments, international organisations and NGOs on climate-related legal and policy issues.
