The Grantham Research Institute at LSE is delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Christian Kroll as Visiting Professor in partnership with the Global School of Sustainability.

Professor Kroll is a leading scholar and advisor on sustainability and management strategy. A PhD graduate of LSE, he is a full professor, advisor, and board member. He has published books and scientific articles with top academic publishers, including Cambridge University Press. He directs the Sustainable Management program and lectures on sustainable finance, ESG, the circular economy, and corporate social responsibility at IU International University of Applied Sciences, Germany’s largest. He also consults globally for companies and governments, including as an advisor to Bain & Company.

He has been a Visiting Scholar at the Harvard Kennedy School and taught at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. Prof. Kroll is the inventor of the first measurement tool for the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the founding Scientific Director of the SDG Index & Dashboards. In recognition of his contributions, the World Economic Forum honoured him as a Young Global Leader. Prof. Kroll’s work has been featured by media around the globe, and he regularly speaks at major conferences including WEF Davos, SuperReturn International, and Web Summit Lisbon.
