Dr Jason Wong joined the Department of Geography and Environment as LSE Fellow in Environmental Economics in June 2019.

Jason Wong is an applied microeconomist interested in the impact of technology and infrastructure in regional socioeconomic outcomes and environmental decision making. His research focuses on the impact of aviation connectivity on regional economies and innovation, climate change impacts on aviation, and improving international agreements on sectoral emissions reductions. He also conducts field research on electricity infrastructure and energy poverty in India.

Background

Jason holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. In 2018, he served as one of eight International Parliamentary Fellows from the United States at the German Parliament (Bundestag), where he worked on economic, energy, and transport policy.
