Alex Carr

Alex joined the Grantham Institute in December 2018. She oversees a number of pre- and post-award activities, managing research relations and ensuring proposals and projects are of the highest quality.

Background

Before joining the Grantham Institute, Alex was Programme and Communication Manager at Climate Strategies, where she managed a number of research projects in the fields of climate, energy and sustainable development policy. Research themes included Just Transitions in coal, climate-trade policy nexus and emissions accounting related to consumption patterns. She also handled other tasks surrounding communications, marketing and administration.

Alex has previously worked on sustainability projects for Keep Britain Tidy and volunteered for a climate change organisation established for students in Copenhagen. She holds an MSc in Climate Change from the University of Copenhagen, with focus on climate policy and EU environmental management.
