Yanxi Zhou

Yanxi Zhou is a Global Impact Group (GIG) Policy Analyst at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment and the Global School of Sustainability at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Yanxi’s work focuses on AI and sustainability, environmental finance and investment, energy transition, and industrial decarbonisation, as well as international cooperation on climate change.
Background
Yanxi holds an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics (distinction dissertation) and an MSc in Environmental Management and Science at Peking University, where she ranks first in her cohort. She has previously worked as a Policy Officer at the Carbon Capture and Storage Association UK, a Sustainable Finance Assistant at the World Resources Institute, and a Research Assistant and intern at organisations including the Grantham Research Institute, Shixiang Tech, Sequoia Capital, the International Institute of Green Finance and WWF, focusing on CCUS, industrial decarbonisation, green finance, and AI investment.
