Matt Burke

Matt is an Advisor to LSE’s Earth Capital Nexus and the Grantham Research Institute, and an Assistant Professor at the University of Sheffield, Management School. Matt completed his PhD in Finance at the University of East Anglia and conducted post-doctoral research at the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford. Matt’s research is focused on the finance of climate change and biodiversity loss. His work studies how market participants respond to environmental risks, and how the financial system may suffer from rising temperatures and lost ecosystem services.
