Join us to launch the LSE Green Skills Lab, a new interdisciplinary initiative supported by the LSE Global School of Sustainability that will produce academic research on the labour market dynamics of the green and digital twin transition, the identification of skill gaps in the green transition, and the development and evaluation of industrial policy to achieve a Just Transition. The Lab will also generate credible data on employment and skills trends and support informed policymaking to achieve Net Zero. Bringing together economics and sociology with cutting‑edge data science on job vacancies and patents, the Lab will map how green and digital technologies reshape jobs and institutions, and develop practical metrics to guide policy across the UK, EU, US and South Asia.

Launch roundtable. Our panel of experts and policymakers will examine challenges and solutions for creating green jobs and ensuring fair workforce transitions from European and global perspectives, with a particular focus on information and knowledge gaps – such as access to reliable data on green job creation, planning support for workforce transitions, and the design of integrated, evidence‑based policies.
