Alexander Weston

Alexander is a Policy Analyst within the Just Transition Finance Lab, where he focuses on the socio-political risks of climate change and the energy transition, and how these relate to financial instability.

Prior to joining the Institute, Alexander gained experience as a strategy analyst for a renewable energy startup and as a research intern at a sustainable asset manager, where he worked on Transition Risk Assessment methodology. He also has experience in climate policy analysis, design, and communication in Poland. 

Background

Alexander holds a master’s degree in data science and Public Policy from University College London. His dissertation examined how climate transition risks affect the performance of green and brown equities, in the context of a potential future climate Minsky moment. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in history and international Relations, with a focus on 20th century history.
