Dates that are important if you're booking accommodation at LSE
This page sums up the deadlines for booking accommodation, moving-in and moving out days, days when the LSE Accommodation Office is closed and more.
The accommodation guarantee deadline is 9 June 2026, and it applies to:
- first year undergraduates and General Course Students
- students with medical requirements or other priority (e.g. care experienced students)
- returning Hall Committee members
The accommodation booking deadline is 9 June 2026, and it applies to:
- new graduate students. We do not guarantee an accommodation space for graduate applicants, however, we will endeavour to have spaces available for all new individual graduate applicants who book before the deadline.
What if I miss the deadline?
After a deadline has passed, you can still book, subject to availability.
Summer Vacation bookings for summer 2026 are not open yet. All summer vacation bookings are made subject to availability.

20 June 2026 - departure day for LSE and University of London halls with 31-, 39- , 40- and 42-week contracts
5 September 2026 - departure day for 50- and 51-week contracts
2026/27 moving out dates
12 June 2027 - departure day for LSE and University of London halls with 31-, 39- , 40- and 41-week contracts
4 September 2027 - departure day for 50- and 51-week contracts

The LSE Accommodation Office is closed on these dates and won't be available via email or phone. Halls are open, but receptions may have reduced opening hours. Check locally at your reception for details.
