You will submit a Dissertation in the term after your final teaching block. Providing you pass the programme requirements, you will then be invited to attend your graduation ceremony in the summer after your submission, i.e. July 2028.

Recommended timeframe: Now - August 2025

1. Accept your offer and meet any conditions

Please accept your offer by completing the online offer reply form, which you can access via the Graduate Application Portal (GAP). If your offer is conditional, you should make sure you create a plan to meet the required conditions. Any conditions will be outlined in your official offer letter and may include meeting the English Language requirement and/or providing official proof of qualifications/degree certificates to the Graduate Admissions Office. If you need any help, please get in touch with the admissions team: Ard.Exec.Admissions@lse.ac.uk, and/or your Executive Programmes Team: healthpolicy.exec@lse.ac.uk.

2. Fill out your Financial Undertaking Form

You need to let the Fees Office know how you plan to pay for your degree. If your fees are being paid by an organisation, e.g. your employer, please ensure that you provide full details for this. Please complete the financial undertaking form accurately and return it to the Graduate Admissions Office via the Graduate Application Portal (GAP).

3. Pay you £500 pre-registration fee

You are required to make a pre-registration fee of £500 GBP via the LSE finance portal. This non-refundable fee will be deducted from your overall tuition invoice upon registration at the School. Instructions on how to pay the fee are available on pages 16 – 23 of the LSE Payment Portal Guide. However, if you encounter any difficulties, please email fees@lse.ac.uk, explaining that you are an Executive MSc offer-holder trying to pay your pre-registration fee.

4. Check your visa requirements

Please review the following webpage: LSE Visas for Executive Masters Programmes. Our programme team are unable to provide advice on visas or immigration, so please make sure to contact the Student Advice and Engagement team for assistance or enquires of this nature.

5. Book your accommodation

It is up to you to organise your accommodation whilst you are in London. To get the best rates, you are advised to book well in advance. You can search using the LSE postcode “WC2A 2AE” to find accommodation close to campus. When booking travel and accommodation, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance with adequate cover in case of any changes.

6. Complete your pre-arrival surveys

Before your arrival, you will be asked to complete a short pre-arrival survey. Once instructed to do so, it is important that you complete this so that we are aware of any dietary requirements ahead of any catered events. There will also be a section asking about your background and general research interests, which can be used to help inform the allocation of your academic mentor.

Finally, we request you to please fill out this quick survey  letting us know how you discovered the programme. The survey will only take around 5 minutes to complete.

Recommended timeframe: August - November 2025

1. Complete your LSE online pre-enrolment

We expect that LSE online pre-enrolment will become available by September 2025. We will contact you with instructions once it is available.

Once your online pre-enrolment is complete, you will be able to access LSE resources such as your email address, Moodle (our virtual learning environment) and the Library. This is an important step toward completing your full enrolment at the LSE.

As part of the process, you will need to activate your LSE network and email account. For security reasons, you will only be able to activate your account once, so please ensure that you follow the instructions you will receive carefully. You will then be provided with your LSE username and email. Please make a note of these and remember your password - this is used for all LSE network facilities such as email, Moodle and the Library.

2. Log on to Moodle

Once you have completed your online pre-enrolment, you will be able to access Moodle, our virtual learning environment. It is important that you log in and self-enrol on the courses you will be taking in December 2025 so that you can start any pre sessional readings and activities set by the course leads.

We will contact you in September 2025 with the instructions on how to access your courses for December on Moodle.

3. Accessing your timetables

During the teaching block, teaching will take place from Monday-Friday throughout the day. The timetable for your first teaching block with exact timings and room locations will be available via Moodle approximately 4 weeks before the start of teaching. To access your timetables, make sure you have activated your LSE network account and enrolled on your programme and course specific Moodle pages.

Due to the intensive nature of the programme, if you are unable to attend a class due to unforeseen circumstances, you will need to notify us soon as possible: healthpolicy.exec@lse.ac.uk.

4. LSE LIFE

A good place to start preparing for your arrival is by reviewing the School’s LSE Life Resources. LSE Life are the experts on all things study skills, including essay-writing and note-taking. They will be available to support you with a successful (re)introduction into academic life and good practice; you will meet the LSE Life team in December.

5. Your Academic Mentor

Shortly before your arrival, you will be notified via email regarding who your academic mentor for the year will be.

Your Academic Mentor is a key point of contact in your academic department. Their role is to keep an overview of your academic progress and overall wellbeing during your time at the School. Further information on their role is available here: My Academic Mentor.

Recommended timeframe: Early December 2025

Prepare for Day 1

Shortly before December, we will contact you with instructions for day 1 of your programme. You will be expected to go directly to the Student Services Centre (SSC) on the LSE campus from approximately 8.30am on Monday 8 December 2025 to complete on-campus enrolment.

You will need to bring the following documents with you:

- All students must bring any outstanding admissions documents that have not already been submitted. If you have any questions, please contact the Graduate Admissions Office

- UK students must bring photo ID that verifies your nationality, such as a passport or national identity card (note that a driving license is not sufficient)

- Non-UK students must bring your passport and evidence of your right to study in the UK (including your airline boarding pass/ticket if applicable). Please contact the Student Advice and Engagement team for more information.

It is essential that you bring the relevant documents, otherwise you will be unable to complete your full enrolment, and will therefore not be permitted to attend teaching.
