We publish standard offers for applicants with qualifications such as GCE A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB). We also consider applications from students with other UK qualifications, including BTECs, Foundation Courses and Access to HE Diplomas, and a wide range of international qualifications.

European Baccalaureate

We accept the European Baccalaureate for entry to LSE. Below you'll find the A-level grade requirement listed, and its equivalent in the European Baccalaureate.

Equivalency of the Almen Studentereksamen (STX), Højere Forberedelseseksamen (HF), Merkantil Studentereksamen (HHX) and Teknisk Studentereksamen (HTX) with GCE A levels

Bear in mind that these requirements are intended as a general guide. Some programmes have specific requirements for degree results and subject backgrounds. For many of our quantitative programmes, you’ll need to submit a GRE or GMAT score.

Graduate entry requirements for applicants from Denmark

Taught master's programmes

To be considered for admission to a taught master's programme (upper second class equivalent), we'd normally require the post-2007 bachelor's degree with marks of 7.0/12 or above. In the pre-2007 grading system, we'd require 9.0/13 or above. Candidatus Philosophiae and Diplomingeniør (Engineer) are also equivalent to the British bachelor’s (honours) degree.

To be considered for admission to a taught master's programme (first-class equivalent), we'd normally require the post-2007 bachelor's degree with marks of 10/12 or above.

To be considered for admission to a law taught master's programme, we'd normally require the Bacheloruddannelsen with an overall mark of 10/12.

Graduate entry requirements for applicants from Denmark

Research programmes (MRes/PhD)

To be considered for admission to a MRes/PhD programme (upper second class equivalent), we'd normally require the post-2007 bachelor's degree with marks of 7.0/12 or above.
