About me

Charlotte is a senior policy associate with particular interests in health policy and mental health.  Her current projects include the Partnership for Health System Sustainability and Resilience and IMPACT CKD.  She has previously worked on a wide range of topics including the LSE/Lancet commission on the Future of the NHS, and the Onassis transplantation project advising on reform of the organ donation and transplantation programme in Greece.

By background Charlotte is a medical doctor, she completed her basic medical training in Manchester, moving to London to train in mental health in 2001.  She has had a long clinical career and until 2017 was consultant psychiatrist to the Early Intervention in Psychosis team in City and Hackney, East London NHS Foundation Trust. She has very broad experience of working in many different mental health services in and around the London area, and extensive knowledge of working in relatively deprived, inner city environments with people from many different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Since 2017 Charlotte has completed a master’s degree in Health Policy, Planning and Financing with the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.  She also previously completed a master’s degree in Culture and Health from University College London.
