About me

I research political behaviour online and offline.

In my current research project, I am investigating what Singaporeans and Malaysians think about China and its growing impact on Southeast Asia, and what factors influence these attitudes. I also analyse how China frames itself in state media targeted abroad and whether these frames can improve audiences’ views of China.

My other project is about online political behaviour in the US. I examine whether exposure to polarised political comments on social media affects perceived polarisation and generalised trust offline. I also study the impact of the Russian IRA influence campaign on Reddit during the US 2016 elections.
