About me

Jacob Lypp is a Guest Teacher in Racial Diversity and Conflict. His work focuses on civic educational programmes in Germany and France that target a predominantly Muslim population. He is interested in qualitative and ethnographic methods to make sense of these programmes’ genesis and their implementation in the classroom context – as well as in more theoretical reflections on the evolving nature of citizenship regimes in contemporary Europe.

Jacob has work experience at French NGO La Cimade, at the German Foreign Office, and at a number of academic research projects. He holds degrees from the University of Cambridge, the Freie Universität in Berlin, and Sciences Po in Paris. He also spent a year of graduate studies at Harvard University.
