Valentina Contreras is a Research Officer at the International Inequalities Institute at the London School of Economics.
In her research, Valentina uses econometric tools to understand the causes and consequences of gender and educational inequalities. She also coordinates The Latin American and Caribbean Inequality Review (LACIR) a collaborative project that brings together more than sixty scholars to produce a comprehensive analysis of the causes and consequences of the inequality problem in the region.
She holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Department of Social Policy; an Economics MRes from the University College of London, and an MSc and BSc from Universidad de Chile.
