About me

Max is a Research Assistant at the International Inequalities Institute under the supervision of Professor Neil Lee as part of the III research theme Cities, Jobs and Economic Change. He works on topics related to economic development and inequality, ranging from labour markets and inclusive innovation, to the political implications of deindustrialisation. In this he is particularly interested in policy, and what can be done to solve the issues different places face.

Prior to starting at the III, Max completed his MSc in Local Economic Development at the LSE. Under the supervision of Professor Andrés Rodriguez-Pose he focused on the UK’s governance systems and competition between cities for state resources.
