Green Impact

At LSE School of Public Policy

Green Impact is LSE's sustainability engagement programme where teams of staff and students on campus and in Halls of Residence work to reduce the School's environmental impact, receiving awards for their work and impact.

The School of Public Policy Green Impact team was initially formed in 2014.

Green Impact 2019-2020

In the 2019-2020 academic year, the SPP won the Silver award, marking us as a 'Committed Contributer'.

The team works to complete both the Green Impact workbook - practical actions to make positive behavioural and physical changes in the department - and an independent project.

For the 2019-2020 project, the team created weekly "Eco-Facts" for our student newsletters, covering topics such as disposable coffee cups, marine plastic, deforestation, the fashion industry, climate activism, restoring and repurposing and Earth Hour.

Check out our Eco-Facts here.
