The Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method seeks applications for a two-year LSE Fellowship in Philosophy, to commence 1 September 2021 on a salary from £36,647 to £44,140 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £47,456 pa inclusive of London allowance.

The postholder will be well prepared to teach an advanced undergraduate course on topics in philosophy, politics and economics (PH341: PPE – Applications) and a reading seminar on similar topics for third-year PPE students (PH340: PPE – Research Seminar). They should also be prepared to teach a course on philosophy of social science, especially as it is applied in policy making (PH458: Evidence and Policy). They should have a developing, high-quality research record, excellent communication and presentation skills, including in small-group and online settings, and be able to provide effective mentoring and support to students, as necessary. They should have the ability to work in partnership with fellow teachers.

Candidates should have completed or be close to completing a PhD by the post start date.
